This is not your relaxing hour away from your kids. It is a fast and furious treatment. Most treatments will take 15-30 minutes. You remain fully clothed. It is a movement therapy, meaning you will be active the entire time. Gone are the days when Felicia targeted muscle. She now goes right for the FASCIA. This is the white stuff that surrounds muscles, blood vessels, nerves, organs, bones... Fascia has *10x* more nerve endings in it than muscle does. This translates to a higher pain level when pressure is added. We work in the 7-9/10 pain range. Don't worry though, it doesn't take long before that pain melts away - RAPID was named after how fast it works!

The science --> RAPID Neurofascial Reset addresses both the "chronic artifacts of inflammation" from prior injuries, as well as the biopsychosocial model of pain to aid clients in achieving pain-free results and an improved quality of life. Often, the "chronic artifacts of inflammation" are leftovers from the body's post-injury healing and can be highly sensitizing to the nervous system, resulting in pain and dysfunction. In other words, garbage left over from past injury makes the nerves in the area more sensitive, and causes them to transmit pain signals to the brain. By applying RAPID NFR, we are able to down-regulate these overstimulated nerves, which reduces tension, increases blood flow to flush out those old leftovers of inflammation, and reduces the nerve sensitivity.

This technique has the potential to successfully treat many complex painful musculoskeletal complaints such as: sciatica, plantar fasciitis, shin splints, bursitis, frozen shoulder, Baker's cysts, back pain, migraines, TMJ dysfunction, vertigo, tinnitus, arthritis, knee pain, Golfer's/Tennis elbow, and so, so much more.

Massage Therapy

Forget the idea of just getting a massage. Think about walking into a calm environment, assessing what your body and mind need, and having the treatment altered based on what you find that to be. Just because one day deep tissue pressure feels amazing, doesn't mean that next time you can't have more of a relaxation focus. Acupuncture

Think of how the blood flows through blood vessels. Now think of energy or "Qi" (pronounced 'chee') in your body also flowing through vessels. These are called Meridians. Just like when you get a blood clot, Qi can also clot, stagnate or have weak flow. All result in pain and/or disease. Acupuncturists use a variety of modalites (not only needling) to restore this Qi flow back to balance. Moxib... Read More

Just like when you get a blood clot, Qi can also clot, stagnate or have weak flow. All result in pain and/or disease. Acupuncturists use a variety of modalites (not only needling) to restore this Qi flow back to balance. Moxibustion (using a herb called Mugwort) to activate the points thermally, a Chinese form of massage called Tuina, Cupping (it started as an acupuncture practice before it became popular), and Guasha will typically be incorporated to enhance the results. Even if you are afraid of needles, you can still get an Acupuncture Treatment!

Massage Therapist AND Acupuncturist?! It’s rare to have both disciplines under your belt, but Felicia does.

She graduated from the Massage Therapy (2010), then Acupuncture (2013) programs at Grant MacEwan University.

Her unique perspective comes from combining Traditional Chinese Medicine concepts with western research and diagnostics. She loves to combine disciplines in her treatments based on what would most benefit the patient. This means you may get cupping during a massage or massage in an acupuncture treatment. Her approach aims to treat the root of the problem rather than provide temporary pain relief. She loves working with other professionals to really give her patients a rounded treatment plan.

>Disclaimer: more than one patient has said that she has very strong hands.
